This is a well known photograph, which shows the disc and crossbar signals at the west end of the station. 
Some of the men are risking their necks to get into the picture. 
The conversion from Hereford to Grange Court was achieved in a week: an astonishing feat of 
engineering and organisation. It served as the guinea-pig for the GWR's gauge changing programme.
