The Grange Court signalman takes the token as a Hereford to  Gloucester train joins the main line on April 24th, 1964.  By using a home-made and unofficial hook bent up from a  metal rod, the signalman saved the time and effort of walking  down to the token catcher post which can be seen to the  left of the picture.
